Grand Master Rick St Clair

About GM Rick St. Clair

Grandmaster St. Clair started his Martial Arts training at the age of twelve, training in Moo Duk Kwan and TaeKwonDo in San Mateo and San Francisco. He worked hard, training and entering local and state tournaments. Grandmaster St. Clair received his first Black Belt on May 21, 1981. This was just the beginning! Grandmaster St. Clair now holds an 8th Degree belt in MDK/TKD. In 1993, he opened his dojang in San Francisco, California.  His dojang recently celebrated twenty-five years of awakening the “Warrior Spirit” in his students and teaching the tenets of TaeKwonDo. Grandmaster St. Clair has been inducted seven times into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He continues to share his love of the martial arts and his joy in teaching. Grandmaster St. Clair believes that the practice of TaeKwonDo opens paths to courtesy, leadership, courage, and perseverance.

About GM Cynthia Rothrock

Cynthia Rothrock is a renowned American martial artist and action film actress. Few other performers can match her presence and energy on the silver screen. Cynthia has been featured on the cover of Black Belt magazine multiple times, and is a proud inductee into the prestigious Black Belt Hall of Fame,  along with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. In 2016 she was the first martial artist (male or female) to be inducted into the prestigious International Sports Hall of Fame by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dr. Robert Goldman.

In 1983, Rothrock made her film debut in Yes, Madam, a Hong Kong action film that helped establish her as a star in the martial arts genre. She went on to appear in numerous action films throughout her career, including China O’Brien, Sworn to Justice, Martial Law, and Lady Dragon.

With her impressive fighting skills and on-screen presence, Rothrock became known for her tough, no-nonsense characters and was often referred to as the “Queen of Martial Arts.” She also broke barriers for women in the male-dominated martial arts and action film industries.

Her array of foreign and domestic action-films are as impressive as her martial arts and weapon talents. Cynthia has starred in over 60 action films. Black Creek will be the FIRST feature film Cynthia Rothrock is producing where she has complete creative control of the production. She remains a beloved figure in the action film community and a role model for aspiring martial artists and actors, holding 5 Black Belts in various Far Eastern martial disciplines.

Cynthia Rothrock

I love to bring my knowledge to all ages and will continue to heighten awareness of martial arts in our community in San Francisco and the bay area.
